In short: from Monassati dashboard → Look and pages you can change your academy's look, colours, font and sections. Every look is shown with your own words, photo and courses, and changing the look never deletes a single letter. Every change saves by itself, but your students only see it after you tap "Publish".
Try another look
- Go to Look and pages → Look and tap "Try another look".
- You'll see every look, each one showing your academy. At the top you can pick a kind: "Fun", "Calm", "Thanaweya Amma", "For kids" and more. The ones marked "Suits your subject" were picked for what you teach.
- Tap "Try it" to see it full screen with your words. Like it? Tap "Use this one". Don't? Tap "Back to the looks".
"Use this one" only changes the copy you're editing. Your students keep seeing the old look until you tap "Publish".
If you changed the colours or the font before
We'll ask: "Take the new look's colours too?". Say "No, keep my colours" and your colours and font stay as they are; say "Yes, take its colours" and you get the new look's. If you never changed them, the colours and font simply follow the look.
Changed your mind?
After you change the look, a bar shows at the bottom: "You changed the look to … Not happy with it?" Tap "Undo the change" and everything goes back as it was, in one tap.
Why did something disappear after I changed the look?
Nothing is deleted. Some looks don't show everything (the "Wide picture" Welcome shows the cover instead of your photo, for example). Under the section you'll see "Saved, but not shown in this look", and that text or picture comes back if you go back to the old look.
Colours, font and night mode
- Colours: 8 ready colour sets, each with its name: Turquoise, Notebook, Sea, Rose, Sand, Clear, Chalkboard and Night. Tap any one and watch your academy change in the preview. Every set is tuned so the text stays easy to read.
- Font: 4 choices (Fun, Practical, Classic, Formal and Quran), and each card is written in its own font so you see it before you pick.
- Night mode: if "Visitors can turn on night mode" is on, a small button at the top of your academy turns it dark for students who study at night. Chalkboard and Night are dark already, so they don't get that button.
Logo and pictures
From Look → Pictures:
- Your photo: shows in "Welcome" and "About me". Without one, we show your initials.
- Logo: shows at the top next to your academy's name and on its icon on the student's phone. No logo? Tap "Make me one" and pick the one you like.
- Cover photo: shows when "Welcome" uses the "Wide picture" style.
If a picture won't upload, take a screenshot of it and upload the screenshot; it works straight away.
Sections: show, hide, move, delete
In Look and pages → Pages there's a card for every section on the page (Welcome, About me, My courses, Student reviews…). On each card:
- "Shows": switch it off to hide a section for a while without deleting it. Its text stays saved.
- "Up" and "Down": move the section on the page.
- "Edit": opens that section's fields only.
- "Delete": deletes the section straight away, and "Undo" shows at the bottom for 10 seconds. Missed it? You can still bring it back from "Deleted from this page" until you publish.
- "+ Add a section": shows only the sections this page can take. A page holds up to 12 sections, so it stays light on your students' phones.
Edit straight from the preview
Tap any part of the preview and its editing opens straight away. On a phone the preview fills the screen, and tapping a section opens a panel from the bottom with that section's fields only; tap "Done" to go back to the preview. To see all the sections as cards, choose "Arrange sections" at the top.
Longer text
Long text boxes (like "About me") have just 3 buttons above them: Bold, List and Link. That's all you need, and the text comes out neat on phones and computers.
Replace the ready-made text with yours
Your academy arrived full of text so you never start from a blank page. There are two kinds:
- Ready-made text in your name: like the Welcome headline, "About me" from the bio you wrote, and "Common questions". It's true about you, so it publishes as usual, and you can edit it any time. Answers marked "Updates itself" follow your settings (payment methods and the number of devices, for example); if you edit one by hand, it stays as you wrote it.
- Sample: like students' reviews with made-up names, or numbers. It carries a striped "Sample, your students won't see it" stripe and never reaches your real academy. That section stays hidden from your students until you put in something real.
To replace a sample: tap "Put in the real one" and type yours in its place. The moment you change anything in it, the stripe disappears, and it shows to your students after you publish. Want to start fresh? Tap "Delete the examples" and add your first real one.
In "Student reviews" only write what real students said, with their first name only if you like. In "Numbers", only put real numbers you can back up.
"Publish"
Every change saves by itself. When you have changes your students haven't seen yet, a bar shows at the bottom: "You have changes that aren't published yet. Your students still see the old version." Tap "Publish" and your students see the changes within two minutes at most.
Two things work straight away without "Publish": changing your academy's link (in "Identity") and advanced settings (like sign-up and the number of devices).
What doesn't change
- The line at the bottom of every page, "Runs on Hessety", is the same on every academy and can't be removed.
- There's no place to type code into your academy. That keeps your students safe and your academy fast on phones.
