Install the academy on your phone

The academy installs on your home screen like any app, with the teacher's icon and name, no Play Store and hardly any space. One tap on Android, three steps on iPhone.

You can put the academy on your phone's home screen, with its icon and name, and open it in one tap instead of hunting for the link in WhatsApp. It doesn't need the Play Store, takes hardly any space, and updates by itself.

For teachers: send this article to your students, or just let them be: the academy offers to install itself from their second visit or after they sign in.

First: open it in Chrome or Safari

If you opened the link inside Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, installing won't show. Tap Open in Chrome at the top (on Android), or the three dots → Open in Safari (on iPhone), and carry on from there.

On Android (Chrome)

  1. At the bottom you'll see: "Install (the teacher's) academy on your phone…". Tap Install it.
  2. Chrome asks you: tap Install.
  3. That's it: the icon is on your home screen.

Don't see the bar? Tap the three dots ⋮ at the top of Chrome and choose Install app or Add to home screen.

Tapped Not now? The bar hides for two weeks. You can install from the menu any time.

On iPhone (Safari)

iPhones don't install in one tap, so we show you the steps with pictures for your iOS version:

iOS 26 and later:

  1. Tap the three dots (•••) next to the address.
  2. Tap Share.
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen, and leave Open as Web App on.

Before iOS 26:

  1. Tap the Share button at the bottom (the square with an arrow coming out of it).
  2. Choose Add to Home Screen.
  3. Tap Add.

Can't find "Add to Home Screen"? Scroll down the menu a little; sometimes it's lower down.

After installing

  • Open it from the icon from now on.
  • On an iPhone you'll need to sign in once more from the icon: the installed academy on an iPhone counts as a device of its own. That's why every account has 3 devices: the phone's browser, the same phone from the icon, and a laptop.
  • If you reach the device limit, we'll ask you to remove a device you don't use and you carry on right away. In My devices you can remove any old device any time.
  • Live lessons: "Join the lesson" opens the lesson from the academy itself. If the camera and mic don't work from the icon on an iPhone, open your academy in Safari and join the lesson from there.

Want to remove it?

Press and hold the icon and choose Remove or Delete app. Your account, courses and progress aren't deleted: open the link in the browser and sign in as usual.
