A student can't join

Every message a student might see, what it means, and how to fix it.

The student is stuck on "The lesson hasn't started yet"

That's normal if you haven't pressed "Start lesson" yet. As soon as you start, the student joins by themselves. If you've started and they're still waiting, have them refresh the page.

Messages and what they mean

Message the student sees What it means and how to fix it
"The teacher has locked the door" You locked the door. From More, choose Unlock the door, and lock it again once they're in.
"This lesson isn't accepting more guests by code" The number of people joining with the code has reached the limit. Send the student their personal link instead of the code.
"This lesson is full right now" The lesson has reached its maximum number of people. Ask anyone who doesn't need to be there to leave, or split the students into two lessons.
"The teacher removed you from this lesson" You removed them from this lesson. They can join the next lesson as normal.
"You can't join the lesson right now. Ask your teacher to check their subscription" Your subscription has ended. Renew from Account on the website.
"This link isn't valid" The link is incomplete, or the student was deleted from the class. Send them their link again from the class page.
"This class code isn't valid" The code was typed wrong, or it's another class's code. Check the code on the class page.
  • Make sure the student is opening the latest link you sent them. If you deleted the student from the class, their old link stops working. Add them again and send them the new link.
  • If the link got cut off in WhatsApp, copy the whole link and send it again.
  • If they're opening it inside Facebook or Instagram, have them open it in Chrome or Safari instead.

The code isn't working

  • The code is 6 letters and numbers, like 7KQ-29M. The dash, and capital or small letters, don't matter.
  • Make sure it's the code of the same class whose lesson you're starting.

They joined but can't hear or can't be seen
