You have one Hessety account, and you sign in to it from the Android app, the Windows app or the website, and you'll find the same classes and students everywhere. You can sign in with your email and password, or with your Google account and no password.
Students don't need an account at all. If a student asks you how to join, send them How to join a lesson.
From the Android app
- Open the Hessety app and choose "I'm a teacher".
- The "Teacher sign in" screen opens. Pick one of the two ways:
- Tap "Continue with Google" and choose your account.
- Or type your Email and Password, and tap "Sign in".
- You'll find yourself on Home, with your classes in front of you.
From the website
- Go to hessety.com and click "Teacher sign in" at the top. On a phone, you'll find it in the menu (the three-lines icon at the top).
- Click "Continue with Google", or type your Email and Password.
- If this is your own device, tick "Remember me on this device", so you don't have to sign in every time.
- Click "Sign in". You'll land on your Account page.
On a computer that isn't yours, like at an internet café, don't tick "Remember me on this device", and sign out when you're done.
From the Windows app
The same steps as Android. The only difference is that "Continue with Google" opens your browser so you can choose your account. When you see "Done. Go back to the app", go back to the Hessety app, and you'll find you're signed in.
With Google or with your email?
Both sign you in to the same account, as long as it's the same email:
- With Google: no password to remember, and your email is confirmed automatically.
- With your email: you need to confirm your email once, before your first lesson. See Confirm your email.
The first time you sign in with Google without an account, a new account is created for you and your free trial starts. More details in Sign in with Google.
Signing out
- In the app: open Account, scroll to the bottom, and tap "Sign out". This phone stops getting Hessety notifications until you sign in again.
- On the website: open Account, and in the Settings card click "Sign out". On a phone, you'll also find "Sign out" in the menu (the three-lines icon at the top).
